Monitronics Appoints Mike Haislip as New President and CEO
Dallas, Texas March 15, 2006 - Monitronics International, Inc. has recently appointed Michael (Mike) R. Haislip as President and CEO. Haislip has served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the company since May 2005. Haislip takes on the role from company founder Jim Hull who retired at the end of March.
Haislip came to Monitronics with more than 27 years of executive management experience in the cable television industry. Just before coming to Monitronics, Haislip served as Senior Vice President at Charter Communications, a national broadband communications company based in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to this, he served at various other cable companies, including Armstrong Cable and Star Cable Associates, both located in Pennsylvania, and Enstar Communications in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his career at Cox Communications in Atlanta, where he worked for 10 years in various operations and financial management positions. Haislip holds a bachelor’s degree in management science accounting from the University of Tennessee.
